المستخلص
تناول هذا البحث تحليلاً للتقليد والتعددية الثقافية، ودور العرق، وتأثيرات الاستعمار الثقافي على سكان الهند في رواية (كيم) لروديارد كيبلينج و (إله الأشياء الصغيرة) لأرونداتي روي، مع تسليط الضوء على وجهات النظر الاستعمارية وما بعد الفترة الاستعمارية. وكما هو معروف كان للاستعمار تأثيرات متنوعة على حياة الشعوب المستعمَرة، يستخدم الباحث منهج التحليل النوعي لإجراء هذه الدراسة وتحقيق أهدافها. ففي مستهل البحث ، تم تقديم ملاحظات تمهيدية عن الروايتين ومؤلفيهما . فضلا عن تفصيل المفاهيم الاستعمارية وما بعد الاستعمارية للتعددية الثقافية والتقليد. وخلصت نتائج الدراسة إلى تقديم تلميحات حول التعددية الثقافية والتقليد الموجودة بكثرة في نصّي الروايتين، وهو ما يثير مسألة العرق والهوية في حياة الهنود. وفي الحقيقة تثير الآثار التي يخلفها الاستعمار الانقسام بين الأبيض والأسود، والطبقة والعرق بين الهنود والبريطانيين من جهة، وداخل الطبقات في الهند من جهة أخرى؛ أي وسط المنبوذين وغير المنبوذين ضمن السياق نفسه، والثقافة بين الهنود.
